FO denies rumours about backdoor diplomacy with India

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch addressing rumors of backdoor diplomacy between Pakistan and India, firmly denied all such claims as rumours.

“There is no truth in the news of backdoor diplomacy between Pakistan and India,” FO Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated while clarifying that Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar’s recent visit to Pakistan was solely for the SCO Conference, where only formal talks took place.

Mrs Baloch announced that at the government’s special invitation, Palestinian students will be allowed to complete their medical education in Pakistan.

The initiative comes in response to significant educational losses suffered by Gaza’s medical students during recent tensions. Baloch noted that Palestinian students have previously studied in Pakistan and highlighted the commitment to support their education during these challenging times.

She stated, “Pakistan had offered Palestinian students to complete their studies here.”

Baloch’s comments underline Pakistan’s ongoing support for Palestinian students and its commitment to their educational needs amidst the current geopolitical landscape.
