Faisalabad SSP suspends 24 police officers over corruption

FAISALABAD: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Patrolling Faisalabad, Mirza Anjum Kamal, suspended 24 officers from the Patrolling Post Pansara on Sunday due to corruption charges.

This decision followed a sting operation that unveiled corrupt activities among the night shift staff, including a sub-inspector, an ASI, and several constables.

SSP Kamal, assisted by DSP Nasrullah, conducted the operation after receiving reports of corrupt practices at the Pansara post.

The investigation revealed that the officials were accepting bribes in lieu of enforcing regulations against overloaded trolleys.

Emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, SSP Kamal stated, “Corruption and dishonesty will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
