Court grants bail to PTI’s Usman Dar in 12 May 9 cases

RAWALPINDI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi on Saturday accepted the bail petitions filed by PTI leader Usman Dar in 12 cases registered against him related to May 9-related violence.

The court had reserved the verdict Friday after hearing arguments by the lawyers.

Dar appeared in the court along with his lawyer Advocate Muhammad Faisal Malik. Malik Ijaz Asif pronounced the verdict.

Thousands of people had come out on the streets on May 9 after hearing about the arrest of former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan. They entered government and military buildings, ransacked them and even set them on fire.
