Karachi female examiner admits to leaking Zoology’s paper

KARACHI: As the annual intermediate examinations continue across Sindh, paper leaks have again marred the process with a female examiner from Government Degree Girls Arts and Commerce College in Karachi admitting to leaking the second year’s Zoology paper.

She apologised to the chairman of the Board of Intermediate Examination, Karachi (BIEK), clarifying that she alone was responsible for the leak, not the college staff. She pledged to avoid such mistakes in the future.

In response, the BIEK chairman stated that they would take action against her according to the rules and regulations.

Zarina Rashid, BIEK’s Controller of Exams, shared her frustration over the recurring cheating and paper leaks. She noted that even though the introduction of watermarked question papers helped identify the source of the leaks, the problem continues.
