LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that she will provide a safe environment for United States’ investment in Punjab.
US Ambassador Donald Bloom met Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, on this occasion Bloom congratulated her on being elected as the first woman Chief Minister of Punjab. The American Ambassador appreciated the efforts of the Chief Minister Punjab for speedy implementation of people-friendly projects.
He stated: “Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s special interest in public welfare projects is commendable, America wants to work more with the Punjab government for poverty alleviation and economic development”.
On this occasion, the Punjab Chief Minister added that the economic relations between US and Pakistan span decades. They will provide a safe environment for the US for investment in Punjab, and will welcome America’s cooperation in the fields of agriculture, industry, and IT.
Maryam Nawaz also stated that there is potential for investment in Punjab, only a stable government can bring Pakistan out of the economic crisis, and the government’s economic policies are reducing inflation.
The Chief Minister of Punjab further said that a comprehensive strategy has been formulated to provide quality education, health facilities and low-cost roti to the people.
