The area of North Nazimabad’s Block B in Karachi is being subjected to excessive loadshedding, exceeding up to six hours a day, for the last few weeks. The effects of loadshedding are profound during Ramazan. It is worth mentioning that are residents pay their electricity bills regularly and timely, and are considered ‘star customers’ by K-Electric (KE). The current situation, however, is far from being an ideal treatment of one’s star customer. It is creating troubles for us and is compelling the residents to seek legal remedies, including claims for damages against KE. The KE management should address the grievances and come up with a swift solution to this problem.
