Army rescues 25 people stuck in Kahuta nullah

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army’s team has rescued 25 people stuck in a nullah in Azad Kashmir’s Kahuta district.

Amid heavy rain and thunderstorm in low-lying areas in AJK, the Army was informed that at least 25 members of several families including five children and eight women were stuck in Betar Nullah in Kahuta district late Sunday night.

The Army with the help of local administration conducted the operation and rescued all of them.

After the rescue operation, rescue members were served ration. The families were also given financial assistance and shifted to safer place.

On the occasion, local administration and residents of the area praised the public service of the army.
