Air ambulance not Maryam’s project but initiated by PTI: Raja Basharat

RAWALPINDI: Former law minister of Punjab, Raja Basharat has said that air ambulance was not project of newly-elected CM Maryam Nawab but was launched by Parvez Elahi during tenure of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

In a statement issued here on Tuesday, he said that work on air ambulance project was initiated in 2003 as per which ambulance heli-tower was constructed at Mayo Hospital Lahore.

Raja Basharat said that Shehbaz Sharif during his tenure suspended the work on the project and it was restarted during PTI rule.

He further stated that an agreement was also inked with a friend country to purchase air ambulance.
