Court puts off fraud case against Fawad Ch for indictment on Feb 10

ISLAMABAD: The District and Sessions Court in the federal capital on Saturday set February 10 for the indictment of former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry in a financial fraud case.

District and Sessions Court Judge Dr Muhammad Sohail presided over the proceedings and announced that charge sheet would be filled against Fawad Ch on February 10.

In the case, Fawad Chaudhry has been accused of financial fraud and misappropriating Rs5 million of a citizen.

Earlier, the former federal minister was produced in the court handcuffed. The counsel for Fawad Ch requested the court to order removal of the handcuffs in the courtroom. At which, the judge instructed the police officials to remove the handcuffs if there was no objection.

During hearing, Fawad Ch, through a plea, requested the court to meet his family and lawyers. The court granted the requested and ordered his meeting with family and lawyers.

Upon completion of the hearing, the court adjourned the case and scheduled the filing of charge sheet against Fawad Ch in the financial fraud case for February 10.
