Missing ex-PTI candidate Abdullah Kahlun returns home, IHC told

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday disposed of the petition, seeking the recovery of Abdullah Mumtaz Kahlun, former PTI candidate for the Punjab Assembly (PA) seat from Sargodha, who had gone missing from the Islamabad International Airport a few days ago despite safe landing order by the IHC, has returned home.

IHC Chief Justice (CJ) Justice Aamer Farooq heard the petition.

Babar Awan, counsel for Kahlun, told the IHC on Monday that his client’s family had informed him that Kahlun was finally home.

On the court order, the officials of Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Interior and the deputy attorney general attended the hearing.

It is to be noted that following the news of Kahlun’s disappearance, which had sent shockwaves across the nation, the IHC had on Tuesday issued notice to the concerned authorities to trace him with the help of CCTV footages.
