FIA recovers Azerbaijan women being exploited sexually in Islamabad

RAWALPINDI: In a major operation, the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle, Rawalpindi has recovered seven foreigners including four women and three children from a house in Islamabad on Monday.

The victims belong to the Central Asian state of Azerbaijan.

Reportedly, some human smugglers brought the Azerbaijan women to Pakistan on the pretext of giving them employment. But the accused were found involved in the sexual exploitation of the foreign women.

The victim women came to Pakistan on visit visas.

The visas of the victims had expired and they were residing illegally in Pakistan.

The FIA team raided a flat situated in Islamabad’s E-11 area and recovered the foreigners. It also recovered the passports of the Azerbaijan women.

The FIA Anti Human Circle, Islamabad registered a case against three human traffickers.

Raids are being conducted in different areas to arrest the accused.

Special raiding teams have been formed to arrest the human smugglers.

The government has launched a strict crackdown against illegal aliens residing in Pakistan.
