LARKANA: Police arrested an Imam Masjid on the accusation of assaulting two young boys in Larkana, reported on Thursday.
The accused was identified as Shafiqur Rehman Almani. He was a Paish Imam at the masjid.
He was accused of assaulting a 12-year-old and a nine-year-old boy.
A case against the Paish Imam was registered on the complaint of the father of one of the affected boys.
The students of the madrasa also staged a protest against the accused.
“I am innocent. I have been accused falsely,” Shafiqur Rehman said.
“Shafiqur Rehman is an offender. He used to assault students quite often and threaten them to keep quiet,” students alleged.
