ASTORE: Fire in Astore forests burned thousands of trees covering vast stretches of land on Saturday night.
According to sources, a major fire erupted in the forest of Astore district in Gilgit Baltistan set ablaze around 3,000 trees. The locals are extinguishing the fire on their own as the fire is getting intensified by every passing moment.
However, the authorities are yet clueless about the origin of fire either it was natural or an act of arson. The fire has sent shock and terror waves in the area and resident seems concerned about their surroundings.
