First govt employee of KP suspended over involvement in May 9 mayhem

MARDAN: First government employee of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was suspended on Wednesday over involvement in May 9 vandalism and notification in this connection was also issued.

According to the notification, Vice Chancellor University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Mardan suspended the services of Muhammad Ismail, Assistant Controller Examination UET.

The notification read: “Vice Chancellor UET Mardan is pleased to suspend Muhammad Ismail in anticipation of the approval of the Syndicate under the rules in vogue with immediate effect till further orders.”

A case was registered against the suspended UET employee at City police station Mardan over involvement in violent protest on May 9 in reaction of the arrest of Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan.
