LHC rejects Buzdar’s plea to bar Anti-Corruption from disciplinary action

LAHORE: While rejecting the plea of former Punjab chief minister Sardar Usman Buzdar to bar Anti-Corruption from a disciplinary action against him, the Lahore High Court (LHC) Thursday summoned the former chief minister on April 17 next.

The court had conducted a hearing on the plea for details of inquiries and cases filed against Sardar Usman Buzdar in Anti-Terrorism.

“If the petitioner is afraid of arrest, he should appear before the court and get interim bail,” Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh said.

The court issued a notice to the Anti-Corruption director general and sought a reply on April 17 next.
