Pakistan reports 103 new Covid-19 cases with positivity ratio above 2pc

ISLAMABAD: An official from the National Institute of Health (NIH) reported 103 new Covid-19 cases in Pakistan within the past 24 hours, while the nation’s positivity ratio remained above two percent.

The new infections were detected from 4,685 coronavirus diagnostic tests conducted nationwide, bringing the positivity ratio to 2.20 percent.

During the same period, 16 patients with Covid-19 were admitted to critical care units, and no deaths were reported.

The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has recommended wearing masks in crowded and enclosed spaces, as well as in healthcare facilities, and has issued guidelines for the period up to April 30 taking into account the current trend of Covid-19 cases in the country.
