Three suspected militants killed in KP: police

ISLAMABAD: Three militants associated with a proscribed outfit were killed on Tuesday by the security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, police told the media.

According to police, the militants were killed in an intelligence-based operation early morning in the Draban town of Dera Ismail Khan.

The police said the names and other details of the killed militants had been identified, adding that they were members of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

There has been a significant surge recently in terrorist attacks in parts of Pakistan, especially in KP, after the TTP called off a ceasefire with the government last week.
