Swati files reference against Yousaf Gilani for violating Toshakhana rules

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Azam Khan Swati said Tuesday that his party had submitted a big reference to the Senate against Yousaf Raza Gilani for violating the rules of Toshakhana
while he was a prime minister.

Talking to media in Islamabad, Swati said: “Today, a big reference has been
submitted to the Senate. Yousaf Raza Gilani, as prime minister, had violated
the laws of Toshakhana. He had given three vehicles to former president Asif
Ali Zardari and one to Nawaz Sharif.”

He added: “This is the violation of Toshakhana Rules 11. We have filed a
case under Article 62. The Senate chairman will now send this reference to
the election commission.”

He declared: “We will prove in the light of the law that Yousaf Raza Gilani
had misused his powers while he was prime minister. He has violated the
Constitution; he is no longer a member of the Senate.”
