Karachi: Sindh IG summons meeting over rising street crimes

KARACHI: Inspector-General (IG) of Police Sindh, Ghulam Nabi Memon, has summoned an emergency meeting over the rising street  crimes in Karachi.

According to details, the IG Sindh has summoned relevant police officials
Additional Inspector-General (AIG) office in the metropolis over rising street crimes. All police officials are directed to attend the meeting.

The meeting will discuss the rising incidents of killings in robbery
resistance while the matter of installation of cameras in police uniforms
will also come under discussion.

Zonal Deputy Inspector-Generals (DIGs) and DIG CIA will Ghulam Nabi Memon on
the city’s current situation. Details regarding the arrest of criminals and
drug peddlers was also sought.

Meanwhile, the heads of all the specialised units will also submit
performance reports to IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon.
