Governor agrees to administer oath to Punjab cabinet today

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has decided to improve working relationship with the provincial governments in Punjab and KP led by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI).

According to sources privy to the development, the move to improve working relationship will be implemented from tomorrow (Saturday) when PML-N nominated Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman will administer oath to the newly-elected Punjab cabinet in Governor’s House.

“The federal government wants to improve working relationship with Punjab and KP governments,” they said.

Newly-appointed members of the Punjab Cabinet have been assigned portfolios by Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi on Thursday after Imran Khan approved their names.

According to details, the members of the Punjab cabinet, announced earlier were assigned portfolios.

The portfolios assigned to the cabinet members including Mohsin Laghari, Finance Ministry; Taimoor Malik, Sports Ministry; Raja Humayun Yasir, Ministry for Information Technology and Higher Education; Ansar Majeed Niazi, Minister of Labour; Raja Bisharat, Cooperatives and Prosecution Ministry; Shahbuddin, Livestock Ministry; Muneeb Cheema, Ministry of Transport; Murad Raas, Ministry of Education; Yasmin Rashid, Ministry of Health and Khurrum Virk, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs; Hashim Dogar, Ministry of Home Affairs and Prisons and Asif Nakki has been Ministry of Excise and Taxation.
