PTI cannot snatch Punjab from PML-N: Maryam

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Friday said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) cannot snatch Punjab from her party.

Taking to Twitter, Maryam wrote that “no matter what PTI does, the dream of snatching Punjab from the PML-N will be shattered.”

While lashing out at PTI Chairman Imran Khan, Maryam wrote that “Imran Khan, who was abusing the Election Commission of Pakistan day and night, may have felt a little embarrassment today.”

She added that “Punjabis are angry over handing over of their province to Farah Gogi [by the PTI] for looting and destruction, and they will ask PTI [about it] in the elections.

Earlier in the day, the ECP de-seated 25 deviant MPAs of PTI. Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja announced the reserved decision. He wrote in the verdict that the decision regarding deviant members of Punjab Assembly has been taken by consensus.

The 25 PTI MPAs against whom disqualification reference was filed include Saeed Akbar, Malik Ghulam Rasool, Mohammad Salman, Malik Noman Langarial, Mohammad Amin Zulqarnain, Nazir Ahmad Chauhan, Abdul Aleem Khan, Mohammad Ajmal and others.
