The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast a heatwave starting today (Thursday) in the port city.
According to chief meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz, the temperature today is likely to remain between 35˚C and 37˚C, while tomorrow, it is expected to stay between 36˚C and 38˚C and the temperature is likely to hover between 35˚C and 37˚C.
The chief meteorologist said that there has been an increase in the air pressure near western Balochistan. “The temperature will intensify due to changes in the direction of the wind,” he added.
Sarfaraz also said that winds from the west will blow for most of the day.
