GUJRAT: Mohammad Akhlaq, a Spanish national of Pakistani origin, was killed here in Sarai Almagir allegedly by his in-laws.
Akhlaq had arrived Pakistan recently and had recently divourced his wife. He along with his father came on two motor bikes to pick his kids from his father-in-law’s house in Khambi Meer village on the outskirts of Sarai Alamgir.
Afzal, the father-in-law of Akhlaq, however, entered into a dispute with Akhlaq. Later, Afzal’s son Asad also joined in. Asad shot dead Akhlaq along with his accomplices.
The victim has a daughter and a son. SHO Police Station Saddar, Mujahid Abbas reached the spot along with the Police personnel and started investigation and gathering evidence.
A case has been registered in the complaint of Noor Hussain, father of the victim. Police said that a committee has been formed under the supervision of DPO Gujrat Omar Salamat to ensure justice to the family of the victim.
