The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa leaders on Saturday announced that the joint opposition has decided to file a no-trust motion against Chief Minister Mahmood Khan to oust the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government in the province.
Addressing a press conference, PPP KP President Najmudddin Khan said the opposition parties, including JUI-F, ANP and PPP, are on the same page and will bring no-confidence motion to oust thr PTI-led KP government.
“At least 45 MPAs from the PTI are in contact with the opposition parties,” he said, adding that a no-trust motion will be submitted in the KP Assembly after voting on trust-move against PM Imran Khan in the National Assembly.
The decision to submit a no-trust motion in the provincial assembly came weeks after the joint opposition submitted a no-confidence motion against PM Khan in the National Assembly.
After submitting the motion in the NA Secretariat, the opposition has been trying to woo the PTI allies into supporting its no-trust move.
Earlier on Friday, the supporters of the ruling PTI had stormed the Sindh House in Islamabad, where dozens of PTI ‘turncoats’ are residing.
The attack was condemned by the opposition, who had said they would file a terrorism case against the PTI supporters.
It may be noted here that the PTI leaders, including PM Imran, had alleged that the Sindh House had become the ‘hub’ of horse-trading.
