Inquiry ordered into fire at Lahore Airport’s cargo terminal

LAHORE: Lahore Airport Manager has ordered an inquiry into a fire incident that broke out at the facility’s cargo terminal early Saturday.

The blaze suddenly started and gutted the stashed pricy goods and records in the cargo terminal.

The airport manager directed for a complete review of sheds at the cargo complex.

The airport administration said that the fire broke out at the TCS cargo godown due to short-circuit at 4:30 am while Rescue 1122 extinguished the blaze at 5:15 am.

The administration vowed to penalize those whose negligence was found behind the incident.
