MQM leaders meet in Dubai

DUBAI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Farooq Sattar and former Sindh governor Ishrat ul-Ibad held a meeting in Dubai wherein they exchanged views on the political situation in Pakistan.

Sattar and Ibad agreed to formulate a joint strategy to address the issues of urban areas of the province.

Ibad said Karachi has failed to play a national role in national politics. He urged to prioritise the national interests after forgetting the bitter memories.

Sattar said national issues could be resolved through joint struggle. He also suggested contacting other experienced political figures.

They said a sense of deprivation was increasing among the population of Karachi and it was necessary to formulate a joint strategy to address it.

Sattar said there should be a charter of stability, development and prosperity that ought to be finalised to cope with the challenges.
