Coronavirus kills 30, infects 2,452 in a day: NCOC

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan confirmed 2,452 new Covid-19 cases over the past 24 hours, the National Command and Operation Centre said on Monday.

The NCOC, department leading campaign against the pandemic, said that the number of total cases rose to 991,727 amidst the fear of a fourth wave.

According to a statement by the NCOC, Sindh has been the worst hit, with a total of 356,929 cases, followed by Punjab where the disease was detected in 350,618 people.

A total of 22,811 people died of the disease, including 30 patients who died over the last 24 hours, the NCOC said, adding that 2,532 are in critical condition.

The country currently has 48,850 active cases while 920,066 others have recovered from the disease.
