"IBOs will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated," it added.
The joint operation involving the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan and Balochistan Police was launched following the terrorist attack on the Mangi Dam Police Post and remains underway, with security forces intensifying operations against terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij across the province.
Fitna al-Khawarij is the term used by the state for terrorists belonging to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
The operation was launched after terrorists ambushed police personnel deployed in the Kach Mangi Phase-III area of Ziarat last Tuesday, triggering hours-long gun battles that left nine police officers, including two station house officers, martyred. The attackers also abducted several civilians and police personnel before security forces launched a series of counterterrorism operations across Balochistan.
According to security sources, forces were targeting terrorists through coordinated air and ground operations, inflicting heavy losses on militant groups.
"Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps Balochistan and police continue their joint Operation Shaban in Balochistan, with security forces carrying out effective operations against Fitna al-Khawarij in the area," a security source said.
Security officials reiterated that the operation would continue until the complete elimination of terrorists operating in the province.
Naqvi lauds security forces' successes
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for achieving further successes during Operation Shaban and described the joint efforts of the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps Balochistan and police as commendable.

Naqvi said the nation appreciated the security forces' effective operations against what he termed the terrorists of Fitna Al-Hindustan.
"The security forces thwarted the impure intentions of the terrorists of Fitna Al-Hindustan. In the timely operations of the security forces, four more terrorists were sent to hell," he said.

UNSC report highlights TTP threat
Pakistan has witnessed a surge in terrorist violence in recent days, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, prompting intensified counterterrorism operations by security forces.
A United Nations Security Council (UNSC) report released in February also highlighted a series of attacks carried out by the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) against Pakistani security forces and projects linked to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Referring to one such incident, the report stated: "On September 16, 2025, the BLA ambushed a Pakistani military convoy patrolling the corridor, killing 32 troops. While counter-terrorism operations by Pakistan restricted the BLA's operational space, it remained active."
The report added that some member states assessed that the BLA collaborated with the TTP and ISIL-K through shared training camps, logistical resources and coordinated meetings between commanders. It also noted that some member states found no evidence of growing ties between the BLA and either Al Qaeda or ISIL.
The UNSC further reported that various groups operating in Afghanistan had acquired sophisticated weapons and equipment through cross-border smuggling and black-market networks.
"TTP used advanced assault rifles, night-vision devices, thermal-imaging devices, sniper systems and drone attack systems. Most of these were provided by the de facto authorities in conjunction with weapons permits and travel documents," the report said.
The annual report of the UN Security Council's 1988 Taliban Sanctions Committee Monitoring Team, released in August 2025, also stated that the outlawed BLA, including its Majeed Brigade, and the TTP maintained "close coordination."
The UNSC report further observed that some BLA attacks demonstrated "a high degree of complexity and brutality," citing the March 11, 2025 hijacking of the Jaffar Express in Balochistan, in which 31 people, including 21 hostages, were killed.
