The real story behind Waseem Abbas and Saba Hameed's divorce has just come out

For years, fans believed Waseem Abbas and Saba Hameed's marriage ended with their divorce.

It turns out it had ended much earlier.

The veteran actor has revealed that although the couple remained legally married for 29 years, they had actually been living separately for 14 years before officially ending their marriage.

Speaking about the relationship, Waseem said there was never any bitterness between them despite the separation. According to him, they continue to share mutual respect, can still work together professionally, meet cordially, and have never spoken negatively about each other in public.

Waseem also reflected on the marriage itself, saying he wouldn't call it a mistake. However, he admitted that "in hindsight, maybe it was."

Despite the candid admission, he stressed that there is no bad blood between him and Saba Hameed, describing their relationship today as one built on respect rather than resentment. Abbas shared that the two remain respectful towards one another. "Our marriage did not work out and we got divorced. That is not such a bad thing," he said. The actor added, "Having respect is not a bad thing. Even if we meet today, we will give each other respect. We would not even mind working in a drama together. We were actually about to one time, but I had some medical concerns."

The revelation has surprised fans, many of whom had no idea the two had quietly been living separate lives for well over a decade before making their divorce official.
