Taylor Swift secures $2bn fortune with prenup
A report says Taylor Swift signed a prenuptial agreement before marrying Travis Kelce to protect her estimated $2 billion fortune and business interests. Neither Swift nor Kelce has publicly confirmed the reported arrangement.

NEW YORK: Taylor Swift reportedly entered into what was described as an ironclad prenuptial agreement before marrying Travis Kelce, with the arrangement said to be aimed at protecting the singer’s estimated $2 billion fortune and wider business interests.
The agreement was prepared in consultation with Swift’s family and legal advisers. Her father, Scott Swift, played a central role in the discussions. The prenup was designed to cover key parts of Swift’s financial holdings, including her music catalogue, master recordings, publishing rights, touring revenue, property portfolio, and film and television ventures.
Swift’s assets have expanded sharply in recent years, particularly after the success of the Eras Tour and her reacquisition of her master recordings. People familiar with the matter said those developments underscored the need to maintain control over her wealth and intellectual property. One source spoke positively about Scott Swift’s role in safeguarding his daughter’s interests over the years.
Travis Kelce did not oppose the arrangement and accepted the prenup after reviewing it with his own legal team. Neither Swift nor Kelce has publicly confirmed that a prenuptial agreement was signed, and neither has commented on the reported terms.
Family law specialists have previously noted that prenuptial agreements are commonly used by high-net-worth couples to protect assets acquired before marriage and to define ownership of future income and business stakes.
Swift and Kelce were reported to have married on July 3 in a ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York City attended by relatives, friends and celebrity guests. While much of the attention around the couple has centred on the wedding celebrations, the discussion around their financial planning has drawn attention to the practical side of one of the entertainment industry’s most closely watched marriages.
Career background
Swift signed with Big Machine Records in 2005 and first emerged as a country singer with Taylor Swift in 2006 and Fearless in 2008. Songs including Teardrops on My Guitar, Love Story and You Belong with Me helped broaden her audience across country and pop radio. She later incorporated rock influences on Speak Now in 2010 and pop and rock elements on Red in 2012.
Kelce, meanwhile, has built a media profile beyond American football. He has appeared in commercials and on both reality and scripted television, including the E! dating show Catching Kelce in 2016, which carried his name, and as host of a 2023 episode of Saturday Night Live. He also co-hosts the podcast New Heights with his brother Jason.
