NEW YORK: Taylor Swift has added another major milestone to her career after Forbes estimated her net worth at $2 billion and identified her as the richest female musician in history, while unconfirmed reports have also fuelled speculation about a possible wedding to NFL player Travis Kelce next month.

Forbes included Swift in its Iconoclast 50 list last week, placing her alongside figures from politics, technology, media and entertainment such as Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Sundar Pichai, Jensen Huang, Sam Altman, Beyonce and Bad Bunny. The attention around Swift’s entry focused largely on the valuation attached to her profile, with Forbes saying her wealth has reached an estimated $2 billion.

Touring, music rights and assets

Forbes attributed Swift’s financial rise not only to commercial success as a recording artist but also to her efforts to regain control of her music. The publication said her decision to re-record much of her earlier catalogue allowed her to recover ownership of key work and helped widen debate in the music business over artists’ rights and creative control.

The commercial effect of that strategy was strengthened by The Eras Tour, which Forbes said generated around $2.2 billion in revenue, making it the highest-grossing concert tour ever. Swift reportedly spent about $360 million to buy back the rights to her master recordings, in what has been described as one of the defining business moves of her career.

Her estimated wealth, includes nearly $800 million from touring and royalties, a music catalogue valued at about $600 million, and real estate worth roughly $110 million. Earlier this year, she also became Spotify’s most-streamed artist of all time, further reinforcing her standing in the global music industry.

Wedding reports remain unconfirmed

Alongside the attention on her finances, reports about Swift’s personal life have continued to gather momentum. Multiple reports have claimed that she and Kelce are planning to marry in New York City on July 3, although neither Swift nor Kelce has publicly confirmed any such plans.

The Express Tribune report said sources cited by entertainment outlet TMZ suggested the ceremony could be held in Manhattan. Speculation has focused on possible venues including Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall and the New York Public Library, but no location has been confirmed.

The same report said the couple were believed to have taken significant steps to keep arrangements private. Swift was said to have contacted close friends herself with save the date notices while withholding the venue details, and guests reportedly received updates through direct messages and text messages instead of publicly circulated invitations.

Even as the wedding claims remain unverified, Swift’s current profile reflects a combination of commercial success, industry influence and sustained public attention, as she continues to dominate music charts, streaming platforms and entertainment headlines.
