The arrangements were outlined by Karachi police chief AIG Karachi Azad Khan, who said the plan covers the main procession routes and gatherings linked to the observances, which are regarded as among the most sensitive events in the Islamic calendar. He said a single security framework had been worked out for all three days.

The announcement followed a visit to Numaish Chowrangi by Karachi Commissioner Syed Hassan Naqvi and AIG Khan, where they reviewed both security and administrative preparations and issued directions to officials present on the ground. Senior officers who joined the inspection included DIG South Syed Asad Raza, DIG Traffic Pir Muhammad Shah, DIG East Farrukh Ali, SSP East Zubair Nazir Sheikh, SSP City Farrukh Raza, SSP South Mazhar Ali and Deputy Commissioner South Javed Nabi Khoso.

Speaking to The Express Tribune, AIG Khan said the procession routes would be placed under strict control during the three days of observance.
