Two killed in hotel shooting in Khuzdar

KHUZDAR: Two men, including a police official, were killed after gunmen opened fire inside a hotel near the Arbab Complex area of Khuzdar on Monday, police said.

According to police, the victims were sitting inside the hotel when armed assailants arrived in a car and opened indiscriminate fire. One of the men, later identified as Abdul Sattar, died at the scene.

The second victim, a police official identified as Shajahan, was critically wounded in the attack and later died during treatment at hospital, authorities said. The dead and injured were shifted to hospital after the shooting.

Police said the motive behind the attack had not been established. However, they suspect the shooting may have stemmed from an old enmity.
