Danish team reviews progress on Faisalabad wastewater treatment plant
A delegation from Denmark’s Impact Fund Denmark visited Faisalabad to review progress on the Eastern Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project is expected to cut water pollution and improve irrigation water quality in nearby farming areas.

FAISALABAD: A delegation from Denmark’s Impact Fund Denmark, also referred to as DANIDA, visited Faisalabad to assess work on the Eastern Wastewater Treatment Plant, a major scheme being carried out by the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Faisalabad.
The visiting team included donor representatives Jacob and Stine. Their visit focused on reviewing progress on the wastewater management project, which is aimed at expanding the city’s treatment capacity.
The plant is intended to help improve environmental conditions in Faisalabad by reducing water pollution. The project is also expected to improve the quality of irrigation water used in nearby agricultural areas.
WASA Faisalabad is implementing the Eastern Wastewater Treatment Plant as part of efforts to strengthen wastewater treatment in the city.
