ISLAMABAD: A South Korean delegation visited Taxila to review the area's historical and cultural heritage and discuss possibilities for closer cooperation linked to those ties.

The visiting group included the vice chancellor of a prominent South Korean university who had previously served as the country's education minister. During the visit, the delegation was briefed on Taxila's place in preserving history, culture and civilisation.

The delegation toured the Taxila Museum, where officials gave them an overview of the Gandhara civilisation, Buddhist artefacts and the ancient history of the region. Members of the group showed strong interest in Taxila's globally recognised heritage and appreciated its historical importance.
