Bus falls into ditch near Jhang, 20 passengers injured
A bus travelling from Multan to Jhang fell into a roadside ditch near Gharaybun Kutia, injuring 20 passengers, Rescue 1122 said. In a separate crash in Ahmadpur Sial, one man was killed and another was injured.

TOBA TEK SINGH: A bus plunged into a roadside ditch on Jhang-Multan Road near Gharaybun Kutia in Jhang’s Saddar area on Wednesday, leaving at least 20 passengers injured, according to Rescue 1122.
Rescue officials said the bus was travelling from Multan to Jhang when the driver lost control after a motorcyclist suddenly came in front of the vehicle from Ali Abad Link Road. They said the driver tried to avoid hitting the motorcyclist, after which the bus swerved off the road and fell into the ditch.
Rescue 1122 said 15 injured passengers were given first aid at the scene, while five people in critical condition were shifted to DHQ Hospital, Jhang. The critically injured were identified as Riaz Hussain, 65, Muhammad Toheed, 18, Ahmad Saleem, 12, Razia Riaz, 50, and Abubakar, 14.
In a separate incident in Jhang’s Ahmadpur Sial tehsil, one person was killed and another injured in a collision between a mini-truck and a loader rickshaw on Muzaffargarh Road near Pir Abdul Rehman Stop. The deceased was identified as 70-year-old Muhammad Tufail, while the injured person was moved to THQ Hospital, Ahmadpur Sial.
