PML-F raises concern over power and gas load-shedding in Sindh
PML-F Sindh Secretary General Sardar Abdul Rahim has criticised worsening electricity and gas load-shedding in Karachi and other parts of Sindh. He also raised concern over inflated utility bills and what he called unjust taxes during the ongoing heatwave.

KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) Sindh Secretary General Sardar Abdul Rahim has voiced concern over worsening electricity and gas load-shedding in Karachi and other parts of Sindh during the ongoing heatwave.
In a statement, Rahim also criticised what he described as inflated utility bills being issued to consumers at a time when households are already facing severe financial strain.
He said the public was already struggling under high inflation, while additional pressure was being created through heavy electricity and gas bills. According to him, these bills include a number of unjust taxes, further increasing the burden on consumers.
Rahim said ordinary citizens were finding it difficult to understand how they could pay such inflated bills amid the current economic crisis. He said the combination of prolonged load-shedding and rising utility charges was adding to the hardship being faced by people in the province.
Concern over public hardship
The PML-F leader said the situation was affecting residents in Karachi as well as other areas of Sindh, where consumers were dealing with both supply disruptions and high billing during a period of intense heat.
He expressed serious concern over the worsening state of electricity and gas outages and said the burden of utility costs had become increasingly difficult for ordinary people to bear.
Rahim maintained that the public was already under pressure because of inflation, and said the addition of heavy power and gas bills had compounded those difficulties.
He further said that consumers were being sent bills carrying what he termed unjust taxes, while they were also facing electricity and gas load-shedding.
The remarks come amid complaints regarding utility shortages and billing in Karachi and other parts of Sindh during the ongoing heatwave.
