LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Saturday said “today marks a moment of pride for Pakistan,” asserting that the country’s emergence as a key player on the global stage was once unimaginable but has now become a reality.

In a post on X, the chief minister described the development as a “historic milestone reinforcing national unity,” noting that every Pakistani “feels a deep sense of pride” as the nation’s strength, dignity, and unwavering resolve are being recognised worldwide.

She remarked that these “defining moments have further strengthened collective national confidence, with the entire nation united in pride and purpose.”

Maryam Nawaz said that Almighty Allah has bestowed extraordinary honour upon Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.

She maintained that the country’s leadership has played a decisive role in restoring Pakistan’s dignity and global stature, crediting them with steering the nation through a critical phase with vision and resolve.

The chief minister added that through bold and timely leadership, a potentially devastating confrontation was averted. “Owing to the unparalleled reconciliatory efforts of the Pakistani leadership, countless innocent lives were safeguarded, and the world was saved from a major tragedy,” she said.

“This is the true essence of real leadership, Alhamdulillah,” she remarked.

She further noted that the leadership has instilled renewed confidence and honour in the nation, enabling every Pakistani to feel a genuine sense of pride.

Concluding her message, the Punjab CM prayed that Allah Almighty may always keep Pakistan under His protection and guide the nation. Ameen.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz welcomed the address of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, expressing gratitude over the reduction in petroleum product prices.

She congratulated the prime minister and his team, while also appreciating the government’s policy direction aimed at further price reductions as economic conditions improve.
