Three killed in separate shooting incidents in Balochistan

DERA MURAD JAMALI: Three people were killed in two separate shooting incidents in Balochistan’s Jhal Magsi and Kachhi districts, authorities said on Monday.

According to police, an unidentified armed group opened fire on a man in the Gandawah area of Jhal Magsi district, killing him. The victim was identified as Ahsan, son of Ghulam Ali.

Police said the deceased belonged to Kasur district in Punjab. His body was shifted to DHQ Hospital Gandawah, and authorities said it would be sent to his hometown after completion of medico-legal formalities.

In another incident, two men were shot dead overnight near Sanni in Kachhi district, police said.

The victims in that case were identified as Aziz Ahmed and Nawab Khan.

Investigations under way

Authorities said investigations were continuing into both incidents.

No further details were provided by police about the attackers or the circumstances surrounding either shooting.

The killings took place in two separate districts of Balochistan, with one incident reported from Gandawah in Jhal Magsi and the other from an area near Sanni in Kachhi.

Police identified all three deceased men and said the body of Ahsan had been taken to hospital for legal formalities before being transported to Kasur.

Officials have not yet announced any arrests in connection with the two cases. Police said inquiries into both shootings were ongoing.

The incidents were reported by authorities on Monday. In the Jhal Magsi case, police said the assailants were unidentified. In the Kachhi case, police confirmed that Aziz Ahmed and Nawab Khan were killed after being shot near Sanni during the night.

Authorities are examining both cases separately.
