Seven killed in separate gun attacks and road accident in Balochistan

ISLAMABAD: Seven people lost their lives in separate incidents involving gun attacks and a road accident in Balochistan, according to officials on Monday.

Police reported that three individuals were shot dead in two separate incidents in the province. In the first incident, two people were killed when unidentified assailants opened fire on a vehicle in the Dasht area of Mastung district. The attackers managed to flee the scene. In a separate incident in the Kharan district, a man was gunned down by unknown armed men. Police have initiated investigations into both incidents, but the motives behind the attacks remain unclear.

In another tragic event, four people died and several others sustained injuries in a road accident on the Quetta-Karachi highway near the Wadh area of Khuzdar district. According to officials, the accident occurred when a passenger coach collided with a truck. Rescue teams reached the site and shifted the deceased and injured to a nearby hospital. Authorities stated that the condition of some of the injured was critical.

Balochistan has witnessed frequent incidents of violence and road accidents in recent years. Law enforcement agencies continue to investigate these cases in an effort to bring the perpetrators to justice and improve safety measures on the province’s highways.
