ISLAMABAD: At least ten people lost their lives in a series of tragic incidents across various districts of Balochistan, involving road accidents, shootings, a snakebite, and electrocution, according to official sources.
In one incident, a fatal collision occurred on the Quetta-Karachi highway near Mastung, where a passenger coach and a car collided, resulting in the deaths of three individuals. The deceased were identified as residents of Mastung. Rescue teams shifted the bodies to the district hospital.
Separately, in the Kharan district, two people were killed in a shooting incident. According to police officials, unidentified gunmen opened fire, fatally injuring both victims. The motive behind the attack remains unknown, and authorities have launched an investigation.
In another tragic event, a man died after being bitten by a snake in the Dera Bugti district. Local health officials confirmed that the victim succumbed to the bite before medical assistance could be provided.
Meanwhile, in the Sibi district, a young man lost his life due to electrocution. The incident occurred when the victim came into contact with a live wire while working. Emergency responders transported the body to the local hospital.
Additionally, three more people died in separate road accidents reported from different areas of Balochistan. Details regarding these incidents were confirmed by local authorities, who stated that investigations are underway.
The series of incidents have raised concerns about public safety and the need for enhanced emergency response measures in the province. Local officials have urged citizens to exercise caution and report any hazardous situations to the relevant authorities.
