Asim Azhar announces album ‘Asim Ali’, featuring heartfelt moment with Hania Aamir in ‘Lost n Found’

KARACHI:  Pakistani singer Asim Azhar celebrated his birthday on Wednesday with an exciting announcement — the release of his highly anticipated debut independent album, Asim Ali, set to drop on November 24.

In an emotional Instagram post, Azhar shared that this album represents a new chapter in his career and offers fans a more personal side of him. “On my birthday, I want to introduce the world to Asim Ali,” he wrote, explaining that the album’s title is a tribute to his real name and symbolizes his authenticity as an artist.

The announcement came alongside a poignant video that traces Azhar’s evolution, from his early years as a child performer to his rise as a household name in Pakistan’s music scene. The video opens with a voiceover from Azhar’s mother, who says, “There’s a worldly Asim Azhar, and there’s an Asim Azhar who’s close to the heart.”

The montage continues with nostalgic glimpses of Azhar’s childhood — including clips of him dancing to Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai — as well as moments from his early career, such as his cover of Bruno Mars and Travie McCoy’s Billionaire.

One of the standout moments in the video features Hania Aamir, who appears alongside Azhar during a memorable appearance at Fashion Pakistan Week. This moment is set to the track Lost n Found, which captures the connection between the two stars, adding an emotional depth to the narrative.

The video concludes with another heartfelt voice note from Azhar’s mother: “I can lie, but Asim Ali cannot.”

The 10-track album, Asim Ali, will feature songs like Asim Ali, Khabbay Sajjay, Na Ja, Changes, Lost n Found, Sugar Rush, Jind Mahi, Pari, U Got This, and Strangers.

Fans and critics alike are already buzzing with excitement for the album, with many praising the personal nature of the project and the raw emotions it promises to convey.

Asim Ali will be available for streaming on all major platforms on November 24.
