Two dacoits shot dead in Burewala during police encounter

VEHARI: Two dacoits were killed by the firing of their own accomplices during an exchange of gunfire with police near 459/EB in the jurisdiction of Saddar Police, Burewala.

According to police sources, the incident occurred when four armed robbers were looting travelers. The local police, responding swiftly to a distress call, reached the scene, prompting the criminals to open fire.

In the ensuing crossfire, two of the dacoits, identified as Anjum and Babar, were fatally shot by their own companions’ bullets. Meanwhile, two other robbers managed to flee.

Police revealed that the deceased dacoits had allegedly murdered a milkman named Fayyaz, a resident of 451/EB, just two days earlier. Law enforcement authorities confirmed that efforts were underway to apprehend the fleeing criminals.
