LAHORE: Prof Tauqeer Ahmad Shaikh, former teacher of Government College Lahore and father of renowned singer Jawad Ahmad passed away here on Saturday.
In a social media post, Singer Jawad Ahmad confirmed the death of his father. He wrote: “His father has left this immortal world today and his funeral prayer will be offered at Bilal Masjid Sunflower Society J-1 Johar Town Lahore on Sunday at 1:30pm after Zuhr prayer.”
His residence is 325 J-1 Johar Town. He has left behind one daughter and three sons.
Prominent personalities of showbiz, political figures and people from different walks of have expressed sorrows and grief over the sad demise of Prof Tauqeer and prayed for his eternal peace and rest.
