Foolish diners

Most of the fancy restaurants in Pakistan merely make a fool out of their customers. They either offer tasteless food or serve insufficient quantity while charging a huge amount of money. The money earned by fooling the customers is then utilised to fool even more potential customers through advertising. The restaurant owners use the power of social media and hire influencers to post fake reviews for their promotion. These influencers write lovely paragraphs that are full of lies, and throw dust in people’s eyes.

I live in Karachi and have had multiple bad experiences at some of the most popular restaurants. At one of the restaurants, I was charged Rs15,000 for stale and tasteless food. At another renowned restaurant, the quantity was not even enough for a single person. I fail to understand why these restaurants provide poor quality and quantity of food when they charge such a hefty amount from customers.

The diners need to be vigilant. They must not fall for these fake reviews and attractive ambience. As social media has become a platform to spread deception, it is better to believe the word of mouth and save others by posting honest reviews.
