Pakistan ships humanitarian assistance package to Ukraine

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Tuesday transported humanitarian assistance for the people of Ukraine.

The relief items were handed over to Ukrainian Ambassador by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi. Two special C-130 flights are being sent to deliver more than 15 tons of humanitarian assistance items for the Ukrainian people.

The humanitarian assistance package included a emergency medicines, electro-medical equipment, winter bedding and food items. The shipment was transported on the request of the Government of Ukraine.

Speaking on the occasion, the Foreign Minister said that Pakistan has always acted promptly alongside international community for responding to international calls for assistance during conflicts and calamities, as a responsible and peace loving nation. He said this gesture shows that Pakistan is a peace loving nation and we urge both the countries to show restraint to save precious human lives.
