LAHORE: Asma Abbas, a respected Pakistani television artist known for her remarkable performances in popular dramas like Dumpukht, Ranjha Ranjha Kardi, and Chupke Chupke, recently expressed her anger over social media’s misrepresentation of her sister, Bushra Ansari. The actress took to social media to call out those responsible for spreading false statements about Bushra and actor Feroze Khan.
Asma revealed that Bushra’s original statement was innocent and heartfelt. She had simply mentioned, “I worked with Feroze Khan for the first time. Initially, he was a bit shy and reserved, but later, we developed a great bond. Now, he hugs me and says, ‘You’re so sweet, I can’t live without you.’ We have a loving relationship, just like that.” However, this was twisted by social media pages, which falsely claimed that Feroze had confessed his love for Bushra and expressed a desire to marry her.
Asma was furious at the falsehoods circulating online, criticizing the media for sensationalizing the issue. She said, “There is an evilness in their brains. How can they write such false statements? How do they sleep at night? Aren’t they worried about the consequences?” She expressed her frustration, stating how upset she was about the spread of such unfounded rumors.
This incident has sparked widespread discussion on social media, with many supporting Asma’s stand on the importance of responsible reporting. The misquoted news was also shared on platforms like TikTok, further fueling the controversy.
