Village red

According to a recent news report, a four-year-old girl suffering from measles passed away in the village of Qadir Bux Solangi near Husri town. This marks the fifth child death caused by measles in just the past five days. Additionally, with this newly reported death, the total death toll has risen to 13 children across three villages in Hyderabad division in the past few weeks.

Despite the rapid spread of this containable and preventable disease, relevant authorities have failed to implement any meaningful interventions in the village to control it. These worrying numbers are a warning sign for authorities, signaling the gravity of this issue towards them so that they may appropriately address the situation and take immediate action.
