I fail to understand the logic behind the allocation of imported and expensive heavy motorcycles for Karachi traffic police when locally-assembled 125cc or 150cc motorcycles serve the purpose effectively in view of the rush on just about all city roads. Besides, I have never seen any traffic police official chasing down any vehicle at speeds of 100km/hour or more. That being so, why does the government need to spend a huge amount of money on such a luxury? Considering the current economic conditions, it is high time all governments cut down wasteful expenses. Moreover, the authorities should look into this critically important matter.
