The woes of Kharan

The remote areas of Balochistan lack basic facilities. Kharan, for example, does not even have a hospital. Recently, I travelled to Karachi from Kharan for my kidney treatment. My journey was extremely painful. The bus was full of people, mostly patients, and there were several potholes on the way. Unfortunately, the patients of Kharan have to bear these problems and expenses due to inadequate healthcare services in their own province. Even Quetta, the provincial capital, lacks good doctors and proper health facilities. The authorities must provide the masses with necessary facilities in their own districts to ease their financial woes.
